In Nature/Science we will read “Mr. Crab and His House”, “Mr. and Mrs. Crab Get a New Coat”, “What Mr. Crab Does”, and “Food For Mr. Crab” in Our Christian Liberty Nature Reader. We will spend time observing the Hermit Crabs. We will also begin to read about Mollusks.
In Art/Music we will begin to learn “Get on Board” from A Child’s First Book of African American Spirituals. The children will spend time practicing for the Charlie Brown production. They will also create a sketch of a Hermit Crab and work on their Valentine Holders.
In History we will read from Odd Boy Out (about Young Albert Einstein).
Our Valentine’s Day Party will be next Thursday, February 12, at 3:00. Please send valentines for your child to exchange (9 for our class, or 17 for both classes if you wish). There is a sign-up sheet for the party posted in the hall.
