September 8-11

We’re so happy to be back at school. The children are all making new friends, and our year is off to a great start. This week in Phonics/Language the children will sort objects beginning with “a” and “b” into letter tubs. We will read Jack and the Beanstalk, sequence the story, and act it out in class. We will read Tops and Bottoms and practice our spatial concepts. The children will also practice singing Benjamin Bunny together. In Science, we will read about Ocean Currents and Abyssal Animals. We are also planning to perform an experiment on Thursday. In Art, the children will paint with red and create a R-E-D book. In Bible we will read about how Jesus was a special friend to Mary and Martha. The children will also create a special bookmark and play a game with motions and music. Please send a complete change of clothing in your child’s backpack each day. Place a snack for snack time in the basket that is above your child’s name in the hall.
