This week in Nature/Science we will read excerpts from Birds by Usborne. We will also continue to learn about Perching Birds as we read "The Brown Thrasher" in our Christian Liberty Nature Reader. In Social Studies we will continue to read from In The Wilderness. In Phonics/Language we will practice narration as we read Johnny Appleseed. We will practice sorting objects beginning with v and w into letter tubs. We will also practice rhyming words by using Phonemic Awareness Stamps. In Art this week, the children will begin to paint birdhouses with acrylic paint. Our Field Day is this Thursday, May 1. We hop that you will be able to join us for lots of fun!
