September 15-18

 

The children had lots of fun acting out Jack and the Beanstalk last week.  They have asked to act it out again this week.  We will practice narration with Little Red Riding Hood and sequence the story.  The children will paint Cathy Cook and practice singing the words in circle.  They will also sort objects beginning with “B” and “C” into letter tubs.
In Science we will learn about Whales as we read from Exploring Creation.  We will also read Humphrey the Lost Whale and perform an experiment entitled “Freezing Salty Water”.

In Music we will continue to practice learning the words to “Baby Beluga”.  The children will also move like whales while listening to “Motion of the Ocean” and waving blue crepe paper.

In Math, the children will work with cookie math in Circle and play a number matching game on the Light Table.

 In Bible the children will hold up a happy face and a sad face at appropriate times as we read “Jesus is a Friend to Lazarus”.  We will also read “Jesus Make Lazarus Live” from the Bible in Pictures, and we will read John 11:1-45 in the New Testament.
