September 22-25

This week in Nature/Science we will read about Killer Whales, Beluga Whales, Narwhals, Sperm Whales, Blue Whales, Humpback Whales, and Gray Whales in Exploring Creation.  The children will finish painting their whale and begin to work on a sculpture of their favorite whale.

In Phonics/Language we will practice narration with “Little Red Riding Hood” from Original Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm.  The children will also begin to practice acting out the story.

 In Math, we are planning to work with subtraction on the Light Table and play a special fishing game.

 In Music, the children will practice using rhythm sticks as they listen to “The Living Sea” from the “Only One Ocean” CD.
In Bible we will create a special well to drink from as we read about how Jesus was a special friend to a Samaritan Woman (John 4: 5-9).  We will play a game and sing a song about loving different kinds of people.  We hope that you will be able to join us for Open House at 4:00 on Monday, September 29^th.  Children are welcome to attend with their parents.
