April 14-17

This week in Nature/Science will read about Ladybugs and Fireflies, and learn that they are both beetles. We will also read about Scarab Beetles. The children will visit the playground with magnifying glasses and search for beetles/ In Phonics/Language we will practice narration as we read The Tale of Benjamin Bunny. In Math the children will create patterns with eggs. In Music/Art the children will create little bunnies to use for songs and fingerplays. They will draw and use stickers to create special seasonal cards. We will sing and play "Peter Rabbit Comes to My House" and "McGregor's Garden". We are also planning to make our own dye using coffee, beet juice, onion skins and other natural substances. Our Easter Egg Hunt will be this Thursday at 3:00. There is a sign-up sheet for goodies in the hall. Please send your child's basket and 12 filled plastic eggs for hiding.
