November 18-21
This week in Nature/Science we will continue to learn about migration as we read “Using Landmarks” and “Perils on the Path” in Exploring Creation. We will also learn about Owls as we read from Birds of Prey.
In Social Studies we will learn about the Pilgrim’s voyage as we read excerpts from If You Sailed on the Mayflower in 1620. We are also planning to sample foods that they might have eaten as we climb aboard our “Mayflower” in the motor lab for Creative Dramatics.
In Art/Music we will be practicing our recitation of “Nest Eggs” by Robert Louis Stevenson and singing our Thanksgiving songs. The children will work on their Indian vests and create little owls. They will also work on placemats for the feast.
Our Thanksgiving presentation will be at 11:00 on Thursday, November 21. If your child does not have a grandparent attending, a parent is welcome to come.
School will be closed next week for Thanksgiving. We hope that you have a wonderful holiday.
