In Nature/Science we will read “Bird Watching”, “Field Marks” and “Benefits of Birds” in Exploring Creation. We will conduct an experiment to see which food the birds in our area prefer. We will also finish planting flowers this week.
In Music/Art we will continue to work on our picture study and our Nature Boxes. The children will also pretend to be animals as they move to a call response song entitled “Pole, Pole” from the Smithsonian Children’s Collection.
In Social Studies we will learn about Chefs as we continue our study of Community Helpers. We are also planning to make bread this week. In Phonics, we will read The Little Red Hen and sequence the story. We will also practice narration with Pinocchio.
We are planning a field trip to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History on Monday, September 30.
