This week in Nature/Science we will read “A Bears Coat” in our Christian Liberty Nature Reader. We will listen to Time to Sleep (a tape & book about hibernation). The children will continue to work on their rock investigations. We will also plant pansies into pots.
In Math, the children will practice addition and subtraction with candy hearts.
In Phonics/Language we will practice reviewing our letters as we listen to The Best Valentine Book (book, tape). The children will practice sorting objects beginning with R and S into letter tubs. They will also practice narration with The Big Snow.
In Music/Art we will have a Heart Walk as we listen to Chopin’s Nocturne No 8 in D Flat Major. We will also play “I’ll give you a heart, my darling” and “A tisket, a tasket”. The children will create valentine cards and paint a valentine.
In Bible we will learn about Joshua as we read “Making a Home” (Joshua 13-23).
