This week in Phonics/Language the children will create an O with Cheerios and P with peanuts. We will learn the P-U-R-P-L-E song and mix red and blue to make purple. We will read The Three Little Pigs and act out the story with stick puppets. The children will practice identifying likenesses and differences and rhyming words. We will practice writing LOVE as we create valentines for our friends.
In Nature/Science we will continue to work with vegetable seeds and make a page for our Nature Journal. We will experiment with identifying and tasting various vegetables.
In Bible the children will make a special Valentine mirror and find out who Jesus loves. We will read "Jesus Teaches The People" from The Bible In Pictures and learn about how Jesus wants us to love others. The children will practice showing love to their friends.
In Math we will practice counting, grouping and adding candy hearts together.
In Music we will sing and play "Friend of Mine" and "Did You Ever See A Valentine".
Please be sure to send a jacket if needed for morning playground at 10:30. It is often still cool at that time even on warmer days.
