This week in Phonics/Language we will read The Three Little Pigs, and sequence the story, and act out the story with stick puppets. We will also begin to make the pig housed that we will use next week for creative dramatics. The children will make a pink polka dot "p" with paper clips. They will make a P-I-N-K book and learn the song. We will also practice matching color words to colored objects and go on a color walk.
In Nature/Science the children will practice identifying the parts of a plant and work on seed pages for their Nature Journals. We will also plant collard seeds and peas into the garden.
In Math we will practice counting, grouping, and weighing pennies, nickels, and dimes.
In Bible we will read What is Love? The children will make a special puppet and practice saying loving things to their friends. We will sing "Love One Another", "I Love Jesus", and "Jesus Loves Me" (with hand signs).
