October 21-24

 

This week in Nature/Science we will read “Bats” in Exploring Creation and “Owls” in our Christian Liberty Nature Reader.  We are also planning to plant peas and beets into the garden.
In Social Studies we will learn about the Indians and read The Land of Gray Wolf.
In Phonics/Language we will continue to practice narration with Pinocchio.  We will also add “To Market”, “Mary Had a Little Lamb”, and “One, Two, Buckle My Shoe” to the Nursery Rhymes that we have been reciting.  We will also work on matching rhyming words and matching color words to objects.
In Music/Art we will sing moving like bats.  We will also continue to work on painting our bats and creating faces for them.
Our Field Trip to Country Critters Farm is this Thursday, October 24^th.  We will leave the school at 9:00.  Please be sure to bring a sack lunch and wear tennis shoes.
