Jan 24-27

This week in Phonics/Language the children will practice making letter N's with playdoh and sorting objects beginning with M and N into letter tubs. They will practice narration in circle as we read "The Nightingale" by Hans Christian Anderson.
In Social Studies they will paint the continent of China and read Sam and the Lucky Money. They will decorate their hats with Chinese stickers, make necklaces with Chinese beads, and create Chinese Dragon cards for their Grandparents (these will be sent home to mail to their Grandparents if they are not able to attend).
The children will continue to practice the motions to "Zhao Pengyou" in Music this week. There is a sign-up sheet in the hall for our Chinese Feast. Please let us know whether you will have Grandparents coming, and how many. Your child may also bring a lunchbox that day (Please send a snack as usual for snacktime). Dr. Flint will be giving a speech to all of the Grandparents from 10:00 to 10:30. We will have our Chinese Celebration in our classroom from 10:30 to 11:00.
