This week in Phonics/Language we will practice narration with The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. We will also read “The King of the Crawdads” from Adventures in the Big Thicket and Snow Rabbit, Spring Rabbit.
In Nature/Science, we are
planning to do an experiment and attempt to create salt crystals. We will read “Jellyfish” and “Floating Boxes”
in Exploring Creation. The children will plant Snapdragons into the
flower bed at the front of the school, and we will harvest turnips from the
garden.
In Art, the children will narrate The
Tale of Peter Rabbit by drawing a picture.
They will also make bunny necklaces, sketch snapdragons, and create a
jellyfish.
In Math, we will measure a bunny with
Unifix cubes and create patterns with eggs.
In History, we will learn about how
wheels, cars, and skateboards were invented.
We will also read about Firefighters.
In Bible, we will read about the death
and resurrection of our Savior in The Bible in Pictures. We will also
read Easter in the Garden.
Our Easter
Party will be on Wednesday, April 1, at 3:00.
Be sure to send an Easter basket and 12 filled eggs for your child.
Parents are welcome to attend and join us for the hunt. We will be performing at Barnes and Noble at
4:30 on Thursday. The children’s artwork
will be displayed, and they are very excited about it. Please join us for fun and fellowship this
