In
Nature/Science we will read Sea Turtles, Ocean Nomads and Awesome George the Giant Tortoise. The children will create sketches of the
Verbena on a Stick and the Mexican Mint Marigold that is growing in the garden
and water the flowers together. We will also pick and press flowers for our
Nature Journals.
In
Art we are planning to make Paper Plate Pumpkins and paint pumpkins on the
easel.
In Music we will
listen to “The Story of my feelings” (book, CD).
In
Bible we will read “Men Bring A Sick Friend to Jesus”, “Nicodemus Talks to
Jesus”, and “A Little Boy Talks to Jesus” from The Bible in Pictures. We will also listen to a Social Story
entitled “Doing What My Teachers Tell Me” from Socially Smart.
We
are planning special fall games with a Nursery Rhyme theme for the morning of
Thursday, October 30. Your child may wear
a costume to school (comfortable is best).
They can change clothes before the field trip if they wish. We will have
lunch at school at 10:45, and leave for Country Critters at 11:30. Please return your field trip permission slip
with $7.00 for each child and parent attending.
